Pavel Magazeev won the Summer Biathlon Championship of Slovakia

Today, June 26, 2023, Moldovan biathlete and member of the national biathlon team Pavel Magazeev won the Biathlon Open Summer Championship in Slovakia.



Pavel covered the distance of 6 km in 28 minutes and 04 seconds. After the last shooting range Magazeev was third with a difference of about 5-8 seconds. After 500 meters he caught up with the leaders, made a tactical move - took full speed on the descent, climbed more quietly, took full speed on the descent and on the new climb made a breakaway at once.


Athletes from Slovakia ranked second and third.


In total, 20 athletes from three countries - Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova - participated in the race.


"Every year we participate in the biathlon World Summer Championship. If there are competitions in the places where training camps are held, I try to participate in them. I'm glad that I won and I dedicate it to all our fans!" - declared Pavel Magazeev.
